Tough week, but all will be fine!

Well, where to start?....hmmm...

As some of you may know, my son Drew and his girlfriend Deanna, was in a very bad car accident, this past Sunday. Drew had to be life flighted to Allegheny General, and Deanna went to Greensburg. Deanna is fine and was released the same night, and Drew, after a few days in the hospital and 1 operation later, is now back home and both are on the road to a full recovery.

A Hugh thanks goes out to all of you who sent their best wishes and prayers, and to the brave, and never tiring firemen who saved these kids!

Now, contrary to what WPXI reported, no one was ejected from the car, nor were they speeding. They simply went off the side of the road and over corrected the vehicle hitting into a railroad tie wall and a telephone pole. A good friend of mine (and a damn fine fireman, I might add), was the one who cut him from the vehicle and confirmed that the seat belt was on. (I can't thank you enough Chad!)

I'm not sure who WPXI's reporter is but I suggest that you verify your facts before reporting information such as this to scared, worried and highly confused parents! Put yourself in our shoes, and you'll completely understand where I'm coming from!

So now that I know that Drew and Deanna will be Okay and I have finally started to catch back up with my work load, let's get back into some Jeannette sports, shall we?

Oh, Sue and I have a new hero by the way... it's Deanna! She punched through a portion of the roof that was hanging to climb out and flag down a vehicle to call 911.... She only weights about 100lbs!!
